Though our partnership with First Clearing LLC we are able to bring to you Envision SM
Envision is a process where "We start with your LIFE and plan your MONEY around it..."
Understanding the Envision Process
Envision is designed to help you live the one life you have the best way you can, without undue financial sacrifice or unnecessary overexposure to risk.
By using the Envision process, our Advisors occupy a central and meaningful role in your life. Our Advisors serve help you assess your current financial situation, and together we build the confidence that you will achieve the goals you aspire to. The Envision Process begins by helping a client to identify their life goals and to define the immeasurable terms. The Envision profiling process naturally uncovers the needs and aspirations you have.
Profiling
The first three steps are typically called "profiling." There is no set script for this section. It is designed to be more of a conversation and exploration about your vision of the future than a structured interview. The process leads naturally into a conversation about specific needs and goals. Our Advisors will learn about the things that are important to YOU, define YOUR priorities.
Ideal and Acceptable
Once your major life goals are established your Advisor will help you develop a specific vision. We will look at YOUR needs and goals and determine the trade offs between them. This is true for both dollars and time. Together we will evaluate options and develop a recommendation that will gets you as close to your "ideal" goals as possible, without undue sacrifice or exposure to risk. Specifics to your goals may include:
- Retirement Age
- Dreams and Major Purchases
- Retirement Income
- Estate and Legacy
- Education Goals
- Sacrifices and Savings
- Risk Tolerance
Each one of these subjects deserves your full attention. Our clients are encouraged to think about both the "ideal" world and the "acceptable" world. Understand that when talking through the Ideal and Acceptable we are looking for a range.
Ideal: All your hopes and dreams - the perfect world.
Acceptable: Satisfactory compromises that still enable you to enjoy your life.
Stress "Test" Goals
The Envision process subjects your goals and investment strategy to a sophisticated "stress testing" process that simulates 1,000 lifetimes of market environments. These include market conditions similar to what we have seen in the past and some that we have not experienced. In Envision we are planning for risk rather than ignoring it.
Envision Target Zone:
Recommendation
Building a recommendation starts with reviewing the your ideal and acceptable goals, your priorities and tolerance for risk. The recommendation we formulate is a result of "what-if" planning to reflect which high priority goals your clients are able to achieve to arrive within the target zone of 75 - 90. Starting with the Ideal plan, examine how compromises to lower priority goals affect the plan result. Our goal is to create recommendations that have sufficient confidence levels.
Implementation
Envision is product-neutral
Our Advisors have flexibility to use any investment products available that suit your investment philosophy. Finding the appropriate programs or products to implement your allocation should reflect your own investment discipline. Chapin Davis offers a broad array of programs, products and services to choose from to assist you in your implementation.
